St. Lucia

IYC Cruises brings you to St. Lucia, the gorgeous island known for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons that reflect into the aqua crystal seas. IYC Cruises visits different destinations within St. Lucia – The island Pride will be going to the Castries and all other IYC Cruises yacht ships will visit Soufriere.

An amazing attraction of Soufriere is that it has one of the only drive through volcanos. Yes, you can drive through it! It is also famous for its hot springs, diving, snorkeling and of course the famous pitons. Mount Soufriere is a volcano that emits steam and is quite a site to see.

For the island Pride Cruises – Castries is also a cornucopia of beauty and nature. Top attractions would be the Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve, zip lining through the forest, and the Millet Bird Sanctuary. One of the top rated attractions is the Immaculate Conception Church next to Derek Walcott Square – it’s a magnificent cathedral with seating for 2000 people. The awe-inspiring walls are adorned with colorful murals which reveal the 12 stages of the holy cross. It was painted for Pope John Paul II’s visit.

Splash in the Healing Sulfur Springs of St. Lucia

One of the most amazing aspects of the Soufriere Volcano besides the fact that you can drive through it – is that you can also dive into it (the mud that is)!! The mud baths at Sulphur Springs attract people from all over the world because it is touted to help detoxify the body and legends say that it helps heal sun burns, eczema, arthritis, sore joints, and more. Natural mud baths are not only healing, but we are sure you are going to have a blast wading, splashing and covering yourself in mud.

The best part is hiking up the mountain to see the volcanic fumes and boiling hot waters. This is the best place for majestic pictures. IYC Cruises excursions’ will also guide you to a beautiful river nook with birds a plenty and tell you the history of the volcanic’s last eruption.
