As part of the British Virgin Islands, Anegada is one of the archipelago’s most exquisite islands, given its nearly level coral and limestone topography (this is strikingly different to the volcanic origin of most of the region’s other islands). Would you believe that Anegada only rises 28 feet above sea level at its highest point?
If you are a scuba diver or snorkeler, you’ll love Anegada as it’s surrounded by beautiful coral reefs, the coolest underwater caves, tunnel formations and age-old shipwrecks. While underwater, expect to encounter spot needle fish, bonefish, stingrays, parrot fish, and other native species.
Have you ever seen a conch mound? Well, Anegada is know for them. From a distance, the Conch Mounds looks like piles of sand dunes.
